I made this pincusion in like 20 minutes out of an old pair of jeans and a rando sock that ended up with my laundry after moving. (Sorry to the owner of that sock)

How to make your own:

What you need:

• Scrap of fabric roughly 9" x 9"
• Hand sewing needle
• Thread
• 2 shredded old socks or other stuffing material

Time required depends on your sewing experience, but probably max 2 hours even if you've never sewn.

Instructions:

1. Cut a fabric circle about double your desired final diameter
2. Gather the edges together with a gathering stitch / loose running stitch, but don't pull it tight and finish the thread yet
3. Stuff the cushion fairly tight
4. Pull the gathering thread tight and tie it off
5. Stitch back and forth over the gathers for stability and to lock them in place
6. Beam it at your nearest friend or enemy to test the durability of your work. If it kind of hurts but not too bad, you've stuffed it tight enough. Do this step before you have stored any pins in your cushion. Or not; I'm not your mom.
