I made this leather thimble a few years ago. I HIGHLY recommend using a thimble when sewing if you don't already. Save your fingers! I wear it on my ring finger of my dominand hand. This one was constructed by folding over a thin scrap of leather and saddle stitching the curved edge, but for my next one I think I'll do a baseball stitch or use some construction method that doesn't end up with the overhanging edge.
