17776 - What Football Will Look Like in the Future by John Bois - This is an online multimedia sci-fi story about the evolution of American Football in the year 17776... kind of. Recommended to me by my girlfriend.

Ball Lightning by Cixin Liu - I just started reading this. It's about this kid studying ball lightning and more stuff happens after that probably. I really like it so far! Cixin Liu also wrote The Three Body Problem trilogy, which is my girlfriend's favorite book series. This book is also a recommendation from her.
